INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever let go of head coach Christie Sides on Sunday.

Sides went 33-47 in two seasons with the Fever while helping in the development of two consecutive WNBA Rookies of the Year (Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark). She was named the league's coach of the month for August. At the time, the Fever were on their way to clinching their first playoff berth since 2016.

“We are incredibly thankful to Coach Sides for embracing the challenge of leading us through an integral transition period over the last two seasons while also positioning us well for future growth," Fever President of Basketball Operations Kelly Krauskopf said.

Krauskopf added that the decision to let go of Sides was not made lightly. The Fever indicated they are committed to "... maximizing our talent and bringing another WNBA championship back to Indiana."

"Coach Sides was an incredible representative of the Fever and our community, and we wish her nothing but success in the future," Krauskopf said.
