INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever will play a preseason game this season on a court that is very familiar to star point guard Caitlin Clark.
The Fever will host the Brazilian National Team at 6:00 p.m. on May 4 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on the University of Iowa campus.
Clark led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship games while becoming college basketball's all-time leading scorer in four seasons in Iowa City.
The school will retire Clark's famed No. 22 jersey during the Hawkeyes' game against No. 4 USC at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on FOX59.
The Fever picked Clark number one overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She averaged 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game to help lead the franchise back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. She was named All-WNBA and won the league's Rookie of the Year award.
The Fever announced two other preseason games, May 3 vs. Washington at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and May 10 at Atlanta. The team will tip off the regular season on May 17 at home against Chicago.
