INDIANAPOLIS - According to multiple reports, Indiana men's basketball head coach Mike Woodson is in discussions with the school about his future with the program.
ESPN's Pete Thamel and Jeff Borzello report Woodson is unlikely to return next year but will finish out the rest of the season on the bench.
Field of 68's Jeff Goodman reports he's still contemplating stepping away, but that he's lost the support of high-level boosters after a recent losing streak.
Indiana has lost four straight and six of their last seven games to fall to the bottom half of the conference standings.
The Hoosiers entered the season with high expectations after landing several key pieces in the transfer portal, but are heading towards missing the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season. Woodson is 77 and 49 in three and a half seasons in Bloomington, leading Indiana to tournament berths in his first two years.
Woodson played for the Hoosiers under Bob Knight from 1976-1980, before playing and coaching in the NBA.
