INDIANAPOLIS - Football fans are getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday as the big day approaches.

The Chiefs and the Eagles will be going head-to-head for the second time in three years. Hoagie and Hops in the Butler Tarkington neighborhood is one of the spots hosting a watch party for local Birds fans this Super Bowl Sunday.

General Manager Donnie Begley grew up in Kansas City but is standing at his place of work and rooting for the Eagles.

"They're gonna crush 'em, Go Birds, E- A-G-L-E-S, Eagles,” said Begley.

He and many of their Philly customer base are looking forward to redemption after the 2023 Super Bowl.

“A lot of people in America are tired of the Chiefs' dynasty,” said Begley. “You know, it's America, we like an underdog story."

On the other hand, Chiefs fans are hoping to continue their winning streak.

“We're the team to beat, and right now, I think we're the team to hate,” said Chiefs fan John Fisher.

He said he’s been hearing the referee favoritism comments from opposing fans.

“There's all kinds of controversy now. There's all kinds of conspiracy theories going on with anything but typically, we kind of laugh at it,” said Fisher.

He said that with Austin Mahomes and Travis Kelce, they're in good shape but his team hasn't been winning by necessarily big margins.

“I think it's going to be close, but maybe just a couple points either way,” said Fisher.

Now it's nearing the end of game day catering orders for the sandwich shop.

Inside, there will be a standing room. However, every seat is already taken.

“If you want to watch the game, you can do it. It's gonna be packed. But you know, come on over,” said Begley.

The Chiefs watch party will be at Dave and Busters in Castleton and they welcome all fans, including the Swifties.

Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
