INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana men's basketball did not receive an NCAA Tournament berth on Sunday.

Before the tournament bracket was officially revealed, ESPN's Joe Lunardi projected that the Hoosiers would be among the last four teams to make the bracket. Despite the projection, Indiana did not receive an NCAA Tournament bid.

Two teams that Lunardi had ranked behind IU — North Carolina and Texas — ultimately ended up making the tournament.

Indiana finished its season with a 19-13 overall record. The Hoosiers went 10-10 in Big Ten Conference play.

The Hoosiers' odds to make the NCAA Tournament were likely harmed by their early exit in the Big Ten Tournament. Indiana lost its first game of the Big Ten Tournament to Oregon, 72-53, on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

North Carolina and Texas boasted tournament resumes similar to Indiana's. The Longhorns finished the season 19-15 overall and 6-12 in SEC play. The Tar Heels went 22-13 overall and 13-7 against their ACC peers.

If the Hoosiers do not accept an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) or another postseason event, coach Mike Woodson's tenure at Indiana is officially over. Last month, IU confirmed Woodson would relinquish his head coaching duties at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Hoosiers had nine seniors on their roster in 2024-25. It is unclear how many players will enter the transfer portal or leave the program now that Woodson's run as Indiana's coach has ended.

Indiana has not made the NCAA Tournament since 2023.
