For the second time in the last three years, Andretti Global's Kyle Kirkwood will lead the field to green on the Streets of Long Beach.
The next task for the No. 27 team is a second victory in the last three years.
"We've done a small part of the job starting up front, but there's a much bigger part of the job tomorrow," Kirkwood said. "A lot of things need to fall the right direction for that to happen. And that's strategy, that's pit stops, that's me driving, that's us staying clean. No acts outside of what we can control."
All three Andretti Global teams turned in great performances on Saturday. Colton Herta will join Kirkwood on the front row in 2nd, while Marcus Ericsson will start Sunday's race in fifth.
"Can't be mad at a front row and an Andretti one-two," Herta said. "It shows that we have a strong program here to go into the race with tomorrow."
Several drivers ran into trouble during their qualifying runs. Santino Ferrucci will start in 27th at the back of the field after going into the run off at the end of the first session. Christian Lundgaard will start in 12th after hitting the tire barrier in the second round.
