TUCSON, Ariz. — Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin was inducted into the Arizona Men's Basketball Ring of Honor on Saturday.

Mathurin, who averaged 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in two seasons at Arizona, attended a ceremony at McKale Memorial Center in Tucson during the Wildcats' matchup with the UCLA Bruins on Saturday.

Arizona made the NCAA Tournament once during Mathurin's tenure there. The Wildcats reached the Sweet 16 in 2021-22.

Arizona won Saturday's game, 77-71, and a Pacers X post showed many of Mathurin's Indiana teammates and coaches attended the contest with him. The Pacers were already in Arizona because they were scheduled to play the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at 8 p.m.

Mathurin is averaging roughly 14.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game about halfway through his second campaign with Indiana.

The Pacers' matchup with the Suns on Sunday concluded their five-game western swing. Indiana will return to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis at 7 p.m. Tuesday night to host the Denver Nuggets.

Indiana dropped a road matchup with Denver, 117-109, on Jan. 14. The Pacers will play each of their next four games at home.
