INDIANAPOLIS – When the Indiana Pacers take the court Tuesday night, they’ll be without Tyrese Haliburton.
Coach Rick Carlisle said Haliburton will sit out the next three games (Jan. 23 vs. Denver; Jan. 25 vs. Philadelphia; Jan. 26 vs. Phoenix). The All-Star guard has missed a total of six games with a hamstring injury, and he’ll miss additional time for “left hamstring strain injury management.”
He’ll be reevaluated on Saturday, Carlisle said. Haliburton could return in time for the Jan. 28 tilt against Memphis, the final game of the team's current homestand.
Haliburton last saw game action in the Pacers’ 118-115 loss to Portland on Friday (Jan. 19). He suffered the initial injury in a Jan. 8 home win against the Boston Celtics.
The Pacers are back home after a six-game road trip in which they went 2-4. They’re 3-3 without Haliburton since the hamstring injury.
Tuesday’s opponent is the Denver Nuggets; the Pacers last played Denver on Jan. 14, losing 117 to 109. That meeting happened before the Pacers acquired Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors via trade.
Tuesday’s game will mark Siakam’s home debut in front of the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Pacers are currently 24-19 and trying to break out in a cluster of teams within a game or two of them in the Eastern Conference standings. Tip time is 7 p.m., with the game being broadcast on Bally Sports Indiana and 93.5/107.5 FM.
