INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts spent the first two days of the NFL Draft improving their pass rush and shoring up their offense.

The team used its first-round pick on UCLA's Laiatu Latu, a talented edge rusher with tremendous upside. Their second-round selection went to Adonai Mitchell, a high-upside wide receiver from Texas expected to bring speed and playmaking ability to Indy.

The team's third-round selection was Pittsburgh offensive lineman Matt Goncalves. GM Chris Ballard said Goncalves had one of team's top evaluations in a strong offensive line class. The fact the Colts traded up a few spots to get him reinforced that.

Now the team moves on to Day 3 of the NFL Draft. When Round 4 started, the team had five picks:

  • Fourth round, 117th overall
  • Fifth round, No. 142nd overall
  • Fifth round, No. 151st overall
  • Fifth round, No. 155th overall
  • Seventh round, No. 234th overall

That could all change, of course, as Ballard is known for wheeling and dealing on draft day. Entering this year, Ballard had made 19 draft day deals. He added to that tally on Friday, trading down before selecting Mitchell and trading up to grab Goncalves.

We'll follow Indy's moves throughout the draft.

Round 4, 117th overall pick

With the 117th overall pick of the NFL Draft, the Colts selected Tanor Bortolini from Wisconsin. An extremely athletic offensive lineman, he brings additional depth to the line.

He had a Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.77, seventh among this year's crop of interior linemen.
