INDIANAPOLIS – Two “if necessary” games are now necessary after a pair of Indiana Pacers wins in their playoff series against the New York Knicks.
The Pacers torched New York Sunday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to even the series at two games apiece. The win came on the heels of a dramatic home win in Game 3.
It all sets up a pivotal Game 5 in New York on Tuesday night. That game is scheduled for 8 p.m. on TNT/truTV.
Game 6 is slated for Friday, May 17, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The game will air on ESPN, although the tip time hasn’t yet been announced. The Pacers’ website, NBA.com and ESPN.com all have Friday’s start time listed as “TBD.”
If the Pacers and Knicks split the next two games, Game 7 will be played at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, May 19, since the Knicks have homecourt advantage in the series.
That game is scheduled to air on ABC at 3:30 p.m. The winner of the series advances to the Eastern Conference Finals, putting them a step away from the NBA Finals.
