Who will the Indianapolis Colts play in their season opener? Will it be on the road or at home?
Will the team have any primetime games? If so, how many?
Fans will learn the answers to those questions when the NFL officially announces the 2024 schedule for the regular season on Wednesday. Coverage starts at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network, NFL.com, NFL+, ESPN2 and ESPN+.
The Colts will have eight home games and nine road games next season as part of their 17-game regular-season slate.
Their home opponents are Jacksonville, Tennessee, Houston, Buffalo, Chicago, Detroit, Miami and Pittsburgh. They’ll play road games against their three AFC South opponents (Jacksonville, Tennessee and Houston) plus Denver, Green Bay, Minnesota, New England, New York Giants and New York Jets.
On Wednesday, we’ll learn the dates and times for those games.
We do know a few of the games already on tap. The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens in the league’s Thursday night opener on Sept. 5. It’s a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers will play on Friday, Sept. 6, in São Paulo, Brazil, as part of the league’s international slate. It marks the first-ever regular season game in South America.
FOX Sports revealed its Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns will feature the broadcast debut of Tom Brady. The 4:25 p.m. game is set for Sept. 8 in Cleveland.
The New York Jets will visit the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 9--the Week 1 opener for Monday Night Football.
Also announced: the season's first Thursday night game on Prime Video, a Week 2 matchup between the visiting Buffalo Bills and the host Miami Dolphins on Sept. 12.
