WESTFIELD, Ind. -- The 2024 Colts Training Camp begins this week as players reported back to camp on Wednesday but for the fans, the fun starts on Thursday morning.
The 2024 Training Camp includes 12 different practices over the course of the next few weeks. A majority of the practices are free for all fans but there are a few primetime practices that will cost fans $5 to get in. Kids 17 and under are still free.
“Training Camp is really the official start of football season,” said Stephanie Pemberton, the vice president of marketing with the Indianapolis Colts. “It’s an opportunity for our fans to come out and to see our players practicing, getting ready for the season. It’s obviously an important developmental time for our players as roster decisions are made and things like that but it's also a great time for fans to get excited for football and come out and watch the team practice and really be a part of a great fan experience.”
As the players get ready for the upcoming season, fans can also take their own football skills to the test at Training Camp with interactive games and activities. There will also be daily camp food and drink specials, player autographs, giveaways, and more.
“I think every year is just so fun to see so many families and members of our fanbase come out and experience it,” Pemberton said. “I especially love when we see first-timers come out, fans that haven't been out to camp before and see it. The consistent feedback we get is ‘Wow, I had no idea it was this fun. I had no idea there was this much to do.’”
And new this year, there will be more theme days and activities. This includes “Back Together Weekend” this Saturday and Sunday.
“It should be a fun weekend and a good time to get together and celebrate what we all love so much and that’s the game of football,” Pemberton said.
But fans need to claim their tickets ahead of time because some practices may sell out.
“Last year, we did have four or five practices that sold out,” Pemberton said. “We do not have any yet this year that have sold out. Usually that happens as we progress through. That is a good reminder that it is never too early to go ahead and get your tickets because some of those primetime practices, especially when we have the Arizona Cardinals coming into town for joint practice, those tend to be in higher demand so the chance of a sellout is definitely much higher for those.”
Practices begin this Thursday, July 25 and continue until Thursday, Aug. 15. Tickets must be claimed ahead of time even on the days when training camp is free. Parking is $5 online or $10. For the full schedule and tickets, click here.
