INDIANAPOLIS - The NBA has released the schedule for the upcoming season.
The Pacers will open the season Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Detroit. They'll stay on the road for a game against New York two days later, before returning to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the home opener on Sunday, Oct. 27 against Philadelphia.
They'll play defending world champion Boston for the first time on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at home. They'll meet the Celtics, who swept them in the Eastern Conference Finals, two more times, both in Boston on Friday, Dec. 27 and Sunday, Dec. 29.
They'll host two group play games of the in-season tournament, now called the NBA Cup on Friday, Nov. 15 against Miami and Friday, Nov. 29 against Detroit.
The team is part of the league's Paris games this season with San Antonio. They'll play the Spurs on Thursday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 25 at Accor Arena.
The Pacers wrap up the season at Cleveland on Sunday, Apr. 13.
The team is scheduled for 14 nationally televised games this season, starting with New York on Friday, Oct. 25. The Pacers beat the Knicks in a seven-game series in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Single-game tickets go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m.
