INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Fever have been on fire since the league’s Olympic break—and star Caitlin Clark once again earned league recognition for her play.
The WNBA selected Clark as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the third week in a row; she also earned the honor for the weeks of Aug. 15 through Aug. 25 and Aug. 26 through Sept. 1.
The Fever finished with a 2-1 record during the league’s most recent week. She averaged 25 points, 10 assists and 7.7 rebounds per game and connected on 13 three-pointers during the three-game stretch.
Clark posted a triple-double against the Los Angeles Sparks, finishing with 24 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Against the Atlanta Dream, Clark scored 26 points and dished out 12 assists to notch her 14th double-double of the season.
In the Fever’s sole loss of the week—a 99-88 defeat at the hands of visiting Minnesota—Clark tallied 25 points and, 8 assists and 8 rebounds.
She had already been named WNBA Rookie of the Month and Eastern Conference Player of the Month for August.
Indiana has won eight of ten games since the Olympic break, with both losses coming at the hands of the Minnesota Lynx.
The Fever (19-17) host Las Vegas (22-13) in a pair of back-to-back home games on Wednesday and Friday.
They’ll play their final home game of the regular season against Dallas on Sept. 15 before closing the year on the road against Washington on Sept. 19. The WNBA Playoffs start on Sept. 22.
