INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts opened up free agency by focusing on retaining the talent already on their team.
After handing wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. a three-year contract extension, the Colts went to work shoring up the defense by re-signing Tyquan Lewis and Grover Stewart.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, the Colts gave pass rusher Tyquan Lewis a new two-year deal with $12 million with $7.7 million of that contract guaranteed.
NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported that the Colts gave standout defensive tackle Grover Stewart a three-year deal worth $39 million to keep the big man in Indianapolis.
The Colts will keep looking to make moves in free agency as the week goes on before heading into the NFL draft this April.
