INDIANAPOLIS – The potential for rain and storms put a damper on the Indianapolis Colts’ plans to announce their training camp schedule with some flair.
The Colts had planned to hold a party in Westfield Wednesday night to take the wraps off their training camp slate. But inclement weather is in the forecast, and organizers canceled the event.
The outdoor party, hosted by the Colts and the city of Westfield, had been scheduled for Grand Junction Plaza. It would've included food trucks, music, giveaways and more.
With the party now canceled, the Colts will hold a more modest event on Wednesday, streaming the announcement on Colts.com and the Colts mobile app at 6 p.m.
The team will reveal the full training camp schedule at Grand Park, preview special theme days and talk to Westfield Mayor Scott Willis.
Colts rookies and veterans are scheduled to report to camp on Wednesday, July 24.
